Gwen Stefani is set to perform at NBC’s New Year’s Eve special.
The 51-year-old singer will be among the many big-name stars – including the likes of Chloe x Halle, Jason Derulo, Kylie Minogue, Bebe Rexha and Doja Cat – who will perform in Times Square in New York City, according to E! News.
Looking forward to the event, host Carson Daly said: «Nothing will make me happier than to have a front row seat to watch 2020 disappear and usher in the hope for brighter days in 2021.
«I’m excited to be with Amber [Ruffin] and tWitch live in Times Square to broadcast the iconic ball drop to millions of viewers on TV, but will miss the revellers who can’t attend live. Our diverse music line-up offers something for everyone in your family. See you on NBC!»
This year’s event will be different to previous versions due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Revellers are being encouraged to watch the show from the comfort of their own homes amid the ongoing health crisis. The show will be broadcast on December 31 on NBC.
Meanwhile, Gwen previously suggested she wants the pandemic to ease before she ties the knot with Blake Shelton.
The loved-up duo are both eager to get married, but Gwen doesn’t want her memories of the special occasion to be spoilt by the pandemic.
She recently said: «I would say, I just want my parents there at this point. My parents didn’t come to Thanksgiving because they’re so scared.
«So I really would rather it not be a COVID situation. I would rather not have masks and that kind of thing – and even when you cut it down to just family, it’s still too many people for COVID.»
