CHANG’E-5 SECOND ORBITAL CORRECTION
China’s lunar probe Chang’e-5 successfully carried out its second orbital correction Wednesday night, according to the China National Space Administration (CNSA).
The probe conducted the orbital correction at 10:06 p.m. (Beijing Time), when its two 150N engines were operational for about six seconds.
MALICIOUS COMPUTER PROGRAMS
More than 18 million samples of malicious computer programs were captured in China in the first half of this year (H1).
In H1, about 42 million IP addresses in China were attacked by malicious computer programs, accounting for about 12.4 percent of the total number of IP addresses in the country. The number of computers infected with malicious programs in China is about 3.04 million, up by 25.7 percent year on year.
NEW GEOPHYSICAL RESEARCH SHIP
A new geophysical research ship has passed sea trial and anchored at a port in south China’s Guangdong Province, according to the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) on Wednesday.
The scientific research ship, SHI YAN 6, began the sea trial on Nov. 10 to test its 62 performance indicators including control system debugging, diesel engine operation, underwater radiated noise, cabin vibration and noise as well as speed and stability.
